Strategic Planning

Goals for 2008 and Beyond

• Complete the first round of strategic planning
   
• Develop an IHP Video to help clients, volunteers and staff better understand the process
   
• Explore the need for advocacy regarding the IHP program and develop an advocacy strategy
   
• Collect and centralize data regarding service delivery of our members and partners, including: credentialing of volunteers and staff, capacity, service area and equipment
   
• Continue to refine and develop new courses for the Annual Training Seminar
   
• Develop policies and procedures for COAD members
   
• Develop strategies to encourage participation of our membership in committees and membership meetings
   
• Hold a debriefing after each disaster to examine the quality of service delivery and identify areas of improvement
   
• Develop a strategy for our annual presentations, including: AMEM, Governor's and NVOAD Conferences
   
• Continue to improve the quantitative and qualitative content on the web-site
   
• Conduct a survey of our clients to determine needs: services offered vs. services needed
   
• Conduct a survey of our members to determine needs: services offered vs. services needed
   
• Evaluate past and present use of 800MHz system to determine future use
   
• Find ways to recognize our active members
   
• Expand the social component of MNVOAD
